The Estuary Conservation Association proudly announces the first of three public seminars for 2010. The Florida Ocean Forum will provide an important opportunity for our community to engage in a meaningful dialogue with experts on Florida's ocean environment, and to increase awareness and understanding of the science and policy related to key issues including red tide, offshore oil development, sea level rise, and the regulation and management of sportfish in Florida's waters.

Facilitated by Dr. Ellen Prager, nationally recognized marine scientist and author of Chasing Science at Sea and other books on the ocean, the Florida Ocean Forum includes three well respected experts on Florida's ocean and coastal environment:

  • Dr. Jim Murley, Director of the Center for Urban and Environmental Solutions at Florida Atlantic University

  • Dr. Barbara Kirkpatrick, Manager of the Environmental Health Program at Mote Marine Laboratory

  • Rob Kramer, President of the International Game Fish Association
